Dancing Lion

Our little Boog has been taking a dance class all year, and 2 weekends ago was her recital. It was so fun to watch how the class helped her grow over the year. The first few classes she wouldn't do her moves across the room without her teacher by her side, and by the end she was quite the little showgirl with her big smile on stage. We had a busy week getting ready for the shows with something dance-related nearly every night because of all the rehearsals and performances, but it was so worth it so see how proud she was to get dressed up in her costume and do the dance on the big stage. There were 8 little girls in her class, ages 4-5, and they all practiced their little hearts out. Oh man, there is nothing like 8 little girls dancing/forgetting their moves/telling each other where to go on stage. Classic. They danced to "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" from Disney's The Lion King. It was a proud mom (and dad) moment for sure.

In all her "lion" glory. She was quite the natural and just posed for pics without much direction from us. :)

This is what she calls her "lion face"; aren't you terrified?!
Here is the video from dress rehearsal night, which was the only night we were allowed to tape, boo. The girls were so on their game opening night, I wish I had that on video, sigh. Anyway, please enjoy the clip, it's quick! As they come on stage, Addie is the second lion!

November in Pictures!

Our little ballerina! She started creative movement at The Studio in CG in August, but I snapped this pic on her way to class a few weeks ago! She is loving it. We went to a Ballet Under the Stars performance earlier this season and we are taking her to see The Nutcracker in CG, and the question she's asked both times with a big cheesy grin, "Am I going to be dancing on the stage?"

 Thanksgiving jumparoos!

Me, Sissy, and nephew-to-be on Thanksgiving

Gagers mowing Karli & Gary's lawn. He pushed that thing all over! (See upcoming post for our now official walker!)

It wasn't technically his 1st Thanksgiving, but the 1st one where he could dig in! He ate way more than his sister, as always! :)

 Chowing down, mouth full!

 Post turkey coma...

Grammy & Papa's tree is "magic". If you clap your hands the lights turn on & off! (Or Papa has a remote... I'll let you decide the truth.)

Getting ready to decorate for Christmas! Climbing things was definitely a fun part of the day!

I LOVE this picture! Polar Express 3D for the 1st time of many this season, I'm sure. For the record, Em kept her glasses on for a few minutes before taking them off and bending them. :-)

Meet the newest member of the Sanders' family, Avey the elf. He showed up under the tree and has been popping up in a new place every morning to keep an eye on Addie & Gage. You better watch out, he reports back to the North Pole every night to update Santa on the happenings around here! Addie named him and cannot wait to find him in the mornings.
