Our Recent Discovery

We discovered today that Halloween just isn't as awesome as we'd remembered it. We realized you either need to be a YSA or you have to have children to enjoy this holiday. One of our married friends called us and we all went to a concert that BYU was performing. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be! After the concert we rented a scary movie and finished off the night.

I come from a house packed with kids and I never knew that they were the ones who make a lot of the holidays so special (with help from the parents of course). I really missed the pumpkin carving we did every year, dressing up the kids, the week long excitement they had, the yard decorations, the trick-or-treaters and of course the candy. We didn't really feel like it was Halloween and it made us miss our families so much more than we already do.

The solution! I know we aren't the only ones in this world that don't have kids. While at the concert, I told Cameron that we should start a rent-a-kid service!! How great of an idea is that? All the young married couples who don't have kids can just come to us and rent one for the occasion. So all you parents who are tired of trick-or-treating and Easter egg hunting, bring them to me! I'll lease them out! Ha ha ha, just kidding.

Well, I hope you all had a great Halloween!! Just know that we are extremely jealous of you. And when you start to think about what a pain it is when your trying to keep up with the kids while trick-or-treating, just think about my Rent a Kid service!

A week to (NOT) Remember

So Cameron's car broke down this week... We were driving and all of the sudden the car just turned off. We could gas, brake, or steer. We had no idea what it was. Thank goodness the cops here are really nice and helpful. They helped us push it off the freeway (yes we were on the freeway) and not to mention that we did talk to 6 of them! After a series of misdiagnosis and part orders, we found out that it is the timing belt. And replacing it in the Xterra isn't exactly a walk in the park. You have to take out the radiator and all kinds of things to get to it. WISH US LUCK! We had to tow the car twice. Cameron drove the lead car, which was a standard ford ranger and I drove the broken down, no lights, no brakes, and no power steering car back into town and then again back to our apartment. It went fairly well but every time Cam shifted I got nervous. We also got the tow rope around the axel because I had no brakes but that was easy to get off and no damage! Needless to say, I never want to do that again. Everyone should do it once for the experience but I definitely got my once other with.

We did get some good news this week though, which actually resulted in bad news... We found out that my car had a defect and the car was wired wrong in the smart box so we got that fixed and a brand new battery all under warranty! Ready for the bad news? After I picked the car up I did a walk around and the was a pretty decent scratch on it. Somebody but a nice 3 or 4 inch long scratch on it and tried to rub it out and only made it worse. I was pretty upset and even more upset that no one at the dealership was willing to admit and correct the problem.

Well, I guess it was just a bad week for our cars. It will be better soon. I've had the song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" stuck in my head all week and I think it has definitely been for a reason. Cameron is out hunting so hopefully we will have some pictures of the monster buck he will shoot! I'll post again shortly. Thanks for looking!

The Open House in WA

I'm such a slacker!! I haven't posted in about 2 months and I feel so bad. Everything is going great here. We had our first snow this last week which was kind of fun. School is going well and work for Cameron seems to be going well but I'll post the news when it's official!

Anyways, the main purpose of this post is to tell everyone about our Open House that Cameron's parents had for us in Washington. It was so fun! It turned out great and I think we were all pretty happy about it. The weekend was one fun weekend we only wished it lasted a bit longer! Here's some pix, enjoy!

Thanks again Fishers for the Open House! We really enjoyed it and we're looking forward to you guys coming to visit for Thanksgiving!

To everyone else, sorry for being a slacker. I'll get better! I promise!

Funny Photos

I was looking through my Iphotos albums and I realized that I had some pretty funny pictures. So.... I decided to post them! LoL, you might want to take a look.... YOU might be in them!!!

Of course it takes three to clean a mirror! Duh....

When Kamber and Cameron were giving Zoey a bath, she unexpectedly started flapping her wings. This picture is kind of funny but I mostly posted it because Kamber is so cute!

This was from way before I met Cameron but I really love this picture and it cracks me up everytime!

Kath (Cameron's mom) was nice enough to take our engagement photos! We went out to the railroad and had a ton of fun.

Cameron imitating the poster behind him. He'd kill me if he knew this was up so shhh!!!

"Did you just RAWWWR at me? RAWWWR back at you!"

I love this picture. We were looking at a bald eagle though those at Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Bum against bear bum. This one cracks me up everytime too.

What a nice family picture!! LoL, that's my mom!

I still don't know what was going on here. Apparently I wasn't aware then either because I am just smiling away!!

I think my mom is having a seizure? LoL, just kidding!

My cousin Kaleo being a dork at the wedding. Goofy little one! Notice Della in the back top right hand corner. Doesn't she look evil!!!???

My mom is very photogenic! You know how people that are on a ship for a long time go "mad"? I think my mom was going a little crazy after all the hard work for the wedding!

The next few pictures will explain this one. We'll call this picture "The Cock Back"

"BAM!" is what we'll call this one!

The aftermath of our cutting the cake. The people asked for a show and we definitely gave them one!

Our cake topper was hilarious! Anyone who knows Cameron know that he is a fishing fein! So I got a cake topper that had the bride fishing out the groom! Although during the reception my uncle Rob announced that he thought Cameron was running away from a monster. Lol

Oh yeah, that was bad!! The heat cause our cake to start melting when they were delivering it. I wasn't even upset though. It was so funny and I was so happy I don't think anything could have ruined that day!

How cool are we?? Who else has a motorcycle on their wedding cake? I searched up and down for that thing! It's the same exact bike that Cameron has. Somebody stole it off the cake and we never found it. If I find the kid that took it, I'm gonna kick his butt! LoL

LoL, geez, how we miss B! He brought so much fun into the house! He gave himself a mohawk that day and was posing for us to take pictures.

I love this one too! It's not what it looks like though! You can't read the label on the  bottle and just the pose he is giving with it cracks me up.

Last but not least, one of my favorites. Those of you who could come to the reception truly missed one heck of a show. That is Cameron, on the stage, in front of over 200 people, shaking his bum. I'll never forget that....

Thanks for reading guys!!

Sunday Volleyball

We had an awesome day on Sunday! Cam played a little bit of volleyball with the APX guys and he did great! I got some really funny pictures and also some really good pictures of his hard work!

We started out cooking breakfast for all of the APX guys. Actually Cam cooked, I just picked out the juice. :D He made French Toast, Eggs, and Sausage. It was really good!

On the way to North Shore Park, Cam thought it would be fun to take pictures so here are some goofy pictures of us!

There was a guy in the back seat with a Mario 1 up shirt in the background.

I got to say, he played some really good volleyball that day and I got proof! Check it out!

Trying to Block the ball but it slipped through that time.

Spike!

The last time they played Cam dove for a ball and slid on a wood board. Good idea then, but I think we've changed our thoughts since then....

Wow, that was a really nice one! Spike!!! Right over him!

Cameron posing for the serve. He loves the camera. Can't you tell?

This in my opinion was one of the best pictures! It was
even better to me because Cam got the spike!

This one is really funny. Cam is blocking but look at his face in this one.
That is true battle mode!

Another picture of Cam spiking over someone. I told you he had a really good game!

There's not much more new going on this week. We are just trying to plan out our road trip back to Idaho. As of today (meaning it might change tomorrow) we are planning to leave September 2nd and make a few stops along the way. We are planning on going to Six Flags in Dallas, making a trip to Loveland Colorado to visit my family, a few more stops along the way as we pass things we want to stop at. Thank goodness that Brenton will be with us! He is a life saver. I was really stressing having to drive two cars back because I can't drive that long so it would take us forever to get back! School starts for us on the 8th. The weekend after that, we're planning (as of now) that we're going to Washington to visit Cameron's family and maybe have a little open house. We'll see. But that is us as of yet! Thanks for stopping by and reading!!

Our New Pets!

With two people living in the same house who
just completely love animals, it's only a matter of time before we start charging guest to come in and see our zoo! Coming into the marriage, Cameron brought with him a Parrot named Zoey. Shortly before we got married, we bought the cutest little Beagle named Dixie. We changed her name a few times while everyone was down for the wedding and confused everyone but we decided to stick with Daisy, I mean Dixie! :)
About 2 weeks ago we added 2 more animals to our home. (We officially have more animals in our home than people!) We bought 2 Ball Pythons who are very unique I might add! We don't have names for them yet but we will probably name them Adam and Eve (considering they were both serpents) or some duo name similar to that. I wanted to get better pictures but they are about to shed so I didn't want to mess with them too much. Last but not least, we are "fostering" a cute little ferret named JuiceBox. Juice Box is a silver colored ferret who belongs to Brenton. Needless to say, we have a lot of fun with our little animals. When people ask about us having kids, we just say we already have 4. :)
*And yes, that is our dog eating pizza.*
